Hi everyone
I am looking to buy my first Lamborghini Diablo. Does anyone know of a good independent workshop in Sydney NSW that is familiar with Diablos and can inspect one for me? The price of the car is very low, so I really am expecting some issues to be found with the inspection.

     Thanks for any advice!

For the older models I'd use http://www.lamborghinisydneyservice.com.au/services.html

I've never used them personally, but when I first picked
Up a Gallardo, it threw an engine light, dealer took it to
A couple of "specialists", they were all a waste of time and couldn't fix the problem, then these guys at rosebay fixed the problem in no time.  From memory it was merely a wheel speed sensor or similar sensor that needed to be replaced.

Also maybe try Andrea Motori in Artarmon.

Or give Top Secret in blacktown a call and see if they do Diablo's.

There is meant to be someone out west who is a wiz with all of these who is semi retired and works from his home on acreage (hoxton park or wethril park area seems to be ringing a bell), I can find out more info if you want? I've not personally used him but I hear great things from his customers.

The other "exotic specialists" in Sydney are really only Ferrari/Maserati specialists that don't really have much idea about lamborghinis in general (let alone a Diablo).

Also depends who you are buying it from, don't take it to a mechanic who the dealer is close with, don't take it to a mechanic that the owner is close with, things tend to get "over looked".

Good luck

Are you looking at the black VT? Speak to Paul Plazcek about it. You'll need $50k+ to sort it out.

That car looked cheap to me and I therefore smelled some dollars that may be required...
May the Horse be with you....

There's a reason why it's been for sale for years at a low price, but yet it hasn't sold. Google Mike Palmer and Lamborghini.
It would make a good project car.

Talking about Diablo's, that yellow SV would be a cracker if bought in the low $200K's.

I would rather have a Countach 5000 QV. Probably will at some point when the right car/deal turns up.

Guys thanks so much for the advice. I've heard of Rose Bay Automotive but was not sure what models they specialized in.

Yes it is the '97 Black VT that has caught my eye. I will give it some more thought before I ask to have it inspected due to the bad rap it seems to have. Does anyone know what exactly it needs to be wanting a $50K investment in its health? Is it mainly issues with the driveline...engine or suspension or is it cosmetic issues such as paint, interior, wheel refurbishment etc or a combination of the above?

Appreciate the advice guys, this is a great forum. :D
