I left out the smaller, older models. These are from the factory records. Yes, I know, they vary from other published data, but they make interesting comparison between the models.

Miura    – 766 (6 years)    – 128/year

Countach    – 1,985 (24 years)    – 83/year

Diablo   – 2,430 (11 years)    – 220/year

Murcielago   – 4,265 (9 years)    – 474/year

Gallardo    – 14,022 (10 years)    – 1,402/year

Aventador   – 4,141 (so far – 3 years) – 1,380/year

Huracan    – 1,213 (so far – 1 year) – 1,213/year

No wonder there are so many Aventadors around. Just yesterday afternoon/evening I saw FIVE of them around Melbourne - grey, matt black, orange, redish orange and red.

When I went to dinner the other month with Kim at the Casino, he parked his Aventador behind my Diablo. When we came out, there was a gloss black Aventador parked two cars behind his. As we left, he went left, I went right, 10 seconds later, a third Aventador pulled up in front of me.
You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot.

Interesting production history over the years, they are rarer than I remember.

The Aventador is outselling the F12 big time in Melbourne.

Perhaps exotics are more common nowadays because they are also easier to drive than in previous years?

In other words as rare as Miuras.

I wouldn't have thought the average Aventador buyer would be interested in an F12 (and vice-versa).

I'm not a buyer for either but I'd consider them both in the future. But I agree they are quite different cars.

There's nothing average about your car choices! :P
