Interesting article ... if it means forged in the true sense, it should take the strength of carbon fibre through the roof, not to mention the reduced cost in production!

The pressure and resin is the key, making tooling that can take rapid heat, cooling and high pressure is not cheap. Interesting times ahead in composite world, 3D printing is starting to work also.
I'll keep working with the autoclave it's still king of the hill for now.

Radiator shrouds , battery boxes. All reversible stuff. Then there are the guys building full cf Etype monocoques.

But even monocoques..... They're what 70kg. They couldn't get Much lighter, and even if they did so what. 10-20kg saving?
