we ordered the car with no seat.

The one they give you is junk (very bad shape, totally uncomfortable for EVERYONE that tried it.). So we kept the one we specced up for use in the 08 model, and sold that car with the delivery seat in it.

We just gotta drop in our own seat, and then do some jiggery pokery to get the passenger seat in as this car is different inside to the 08 model (ecu location/wiring/gearshift compressor etc). We have a ballast kit too, and a cool suit/esky that we fit where the pax seat goes.

Yes he should, I have had words with him about that, he's worked bloody hard to get that No1 on the door!!

He feels too pressured to have it, as he's a very modest type and knows he's not the fastest driver.

i said that doesn't matter, he earned it fair and square against younger guys in comarable if not quite equal cars.

I said it's like a Sargeant tearing off his stripes!

The car ran really well today. A little gremlin in the brakes to work on but it's nearly fixed already. Some datalogging issues to sort out too, the car was delivered in MUCH better shape than the last one... only about 6 hours so far on assembly stuff ups  :tilt: One major glaring dangerous item to do, but it only took seconds to fix, could have been disastrous though  :argh:

Wish him all the best from me. He seemed excited at the GP about his new car,
Are you guys going to be getting any assistance from JB with the new car?

What times was it doing today out of the box?

Simonsen is jetting in for Eastern Creek next week, which we're all looking forward to. it's gunna be a LOT of fun to show the GT cars up while we run it in the sports car races there! :tilt:

Teds previous best in the 08 model was a 1.17 out the box, which we tuned and worked down to 1.15.35... today he did 1.15.2 out the box on new tyres, and we made some wholesale changes over 3 sessions and got to 1.14.2 on the same tyres that had now done ~30 laps..
