Correction. The car is financed but the insurance on it, well that part is questionable.

He would have had to provide a policy number prior to the finance company  paying out. But I have heard stories of people canceling insurance once finance company pays for the car.

having insurance does not mean they are going to pay out.........
They will try to worm their way out of that, I should know  :rolleyes:

That's why you should never buy insurance based purely on the premium alone. You need to be sure that they will actually look after you when it all goes pear shaped and you make a claim.

No insurance = no finance. A common bogan ploy is to get a cover note to get the finance and then not follow through on the insurance after a few months.

yeah a guy did that with my 300ZX TT back in the day, then slammed it into some armco a week later.

hmm - glad I just read this - have a quote from Dawes which is about $1200 cheaper than any other for the Speciale - I think I'll give it a miss now!
