Oh, they didn't sell you an extension?

Did they try?

This is a recall anyway..., not warranty, no?

Ferrari are doing an exactly similar in a non identical way recall on 355 at the moment... 15 years old cars... all for free.... Fuel fitting part poorly designed being replaced for better design (less prone to human error).

My 355's booked in to be done next week on this one. Firey too.
C'mon, do it!

yes... the problem is two fold.... 1) that the o rings on original part are easy to damage if a rock ape services the car. and 2) the fuel union is too close to the coolant hose clamp, and when engine mounts get gooey(they do this a fair bit) the engine jumps around and whacks the hose/clamp.... depending on point of contact, either coolant leak from chafed pipe... no big deal... of fuel leak from supplu/return line... KABOOM!

the new part is better designed and moved higher.

Service work is free, but Lamborghini Italy says you have to get the car to an authorised dealer at your own expense.

That sounds fair, what if you decided to take your car to exmouth and live there, you wouldn't expect them to transport it back to Perth on their expense? A little extreme I know, but service centres are not around every corner.

Still at least they rectified the problem instead of pretending nothing is wrong.
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!
