Hi all,

I am a 3D artist and I have modeled a Lamborghini Countach inside and out that is 99% accurate as it was based on a laser scan. I entered a competition with this render and thought I'd share it with you guys.

I am also planning to 3D print and build 5 1/4 scale models that will make a 1m long Countach. Attached are some tests.

Check out my facebook page for more updates when they come.

Hope you like it!

Cheers,

I saw your work on LP, nice!  I guess this will be a glimpse into the future of how parts will be scanned and 3D printed for old and rare cars/spares.

He's brilliant, isn't he?

I guess the last photo is the finished product?
You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot.

Cheers! Indeed,  I see a future of affordable laser scanning and 3D printing for the home. right now the laser scanner used by my contact to scan this beast costs $100k+ of course there are cheaper ones but next cheapest alternative is photoscanning which is essentially cost of a camera and software and you get a decent result :)
Here is a Honda S2000 I photoscanned ( wrapped it in brown paper so reflections don't confuse the software) From there I can 3D model over the heavy mesh and make it clean.

Too kind Andecorp!

The last pic is a 3D render and is all CGI ( computer generated image) :)

But soon I will recommence 3D printing I will start making molds and cast out 1/4 scale body replicas etc :D

Imagine a Countach owner with a replica of their Bull sitting in their mancave! I bet you would buy a Diablo 1/4 scale that's for sure!
