For some reason more than a couple times we saw Kermit coming the opposite direction...

Very tight areas for doing u-turns...

This was a surreal moment - looking across at the equally evil mirror image of yourself at the intersection...

mhh is checking which way the wind is blowing for a V-max run - he should probably take the Michael Jackson glove off first...

Eventually we made it to a place called Sedan - the first time I was in Sedan without one was 2005, in this pic:

We had a few more non-sedans this time around though...

So after a fantastic drive that let's just say almost made it worthy of being in Lamborghinis, we made it to Vintner's just out of Angaston right on noon, the same place a bunch of us defectors went instead of the normal clogged route on last year's Climb to the Eagle.

Image

Great place - fantastic atmosphere, nice wines and friendly staff - just a shame about the other guests, or more to the point the forehead-vein-popping-control-freak woman showing them through.

So whilst the Lamborghini Club is enjoying the time just settling in tasting some wines - it seems we're not welcome by someone showing through a busload of tourists - the staff told her he was just showing us a few nice wines from the region and would be done in a few minutes.

The response was a terse quote about her clientele which will be remembered for quite some time as she made sure the rest of us heard it - "These people are not the kind who will wait even two minutes."

The food from all accounts was fantastic - however because we were so unimportant it took nearly two hours to be served.  I had Skippy, it was delicious.

Turns out - the whole busload of tourists were quite happy to hang around the cars and take plenty of photos, not to mention assume formation for Goober to take a Hey Dad style happy snap.

Meanwhile - miss too-important was talking on one phone whilst emailing on another - some people are too busy to relax and enjoy life. :)

At some stage during the drive our wiper - previously held down by 100mph tape (that black flappy thing on the bottom left of the windscreen) - automatically went into race-mode, perhaps we needed 200mph tape...

Goddam I've always loved the arse of the Gallardo - but with the LP560, man...

Sorry if I over-indulge in pics...

The Diablo - sheesh...  lucky it wasn't a hot day, cos it has that appearance of being golden liquid, and on a warm thirsty day I may need to be restrained to avoid licking it.
