Note that the comments confirm the car as a rental, and that despite the speed involved - the sprinklers on the median strip were a contributing factor.
This is the sort of thing that keeps me awake at night...

Last Friday night a Lamborghini Gallardo speeding through a rainy Fort Worth, Texas struck a tree and split in half when the driver lost control after hydroplaning across standing water. The violent accident left the passenger compartment smashed against the tree while the rear half of the car continued on, stopping yards away. Both passenger and driver suffered serious injuries with one of the occupants reportedly losing a foot (ouch).
