Alright, sent a strongly worded email to the seller - see where that gets me.  If a brake master cylinder and vacuum booster are comlpetely, utterly stuffed I can't see how it could have passed a roadworthy... although QLD is a bit dodgy.

Yes, will get it working first, but a new paint job would be pretty sweet ... inclined to do it.  Money is no good sitting in the bank! (except for interest, but lets forget about that)

thanks all for your thoughts.

P.S. Teeny tiny little things, then Paul says he'll be on to the that pearly yellow S4S very, very soon :D

Anything that is a pain in the arse looks good going away.

Oh sweet relief!

I have a 355 thats been in bits for 4 years... Hope to fire it up next week....

Its part of the furniture.

I have others too..

Words cannot express the feeling of getting rid of a major job...

Figure it's about time I posted a follow up.  We are all go - running well and RWC all done... waiting on club permit.  Mechanicals are all solid for now.  It actually runs really smoothly and is a lot of fun.

Cost what I expected, no more.

Will go for a full re-paint, because I think it will be awesome.  Friend of Paul's all lined up.

Need to spend some serious time working moisture into the leather but, from what I'm told by a couple of people who'd know better than me, it should come good.

Pretty excited to finally have it running well.

cheers.

Its crazy how awesome a car can look in photographs compared to how it really is.
