Here its this one.

http://www.quicksales.com.au/ad/1989-lotus-esprit-s5-s5/itemid-710798451

Anybody know this car, it's a bit molested, but not irreversibly so. spoke to seller and he will take a fair amount less for the car than it's listed for.

Here a question...
is 113k too many km for an esprit?

Makes me nervous considering the last one i drove had a shade more and seemed pretty much done.

Mileage doesnt matter (within reason of course),  Maintenance does.   Simple as that.

i'd much rather a 100k car that's been perfectly maintained than a 30k car that hasn't.

My opinion only - that's one ugly esprit, highly molested (modified) and would be very difficult to sell on. The car would be given an unroadworthy cert here in SA due to wide tyres exceeding car body width. I'd personally stay well clear. But that's my opinion.

Agreed.
It's very ugly lol. Likewise in WA -- those wheels would last about 5 minutes before the cops pulled you over.
The rear lights are apparently lotus. The fiberglass looks kinda wonky, like cheap aftermarket.

oh well...the hunt continues.

I originally set out with the idea that I would find a good one for 30k, I could probably stretch to 35 for the right one.

I would think $30k you will get you a lot of headaches, or something that's not ideal, Kind of like that ugly red one in the link above.  Surely $25k is all that would be worth?

but not impossible i guess, Andecorp is the man who will be able to guide you more specifically.

My insurance company told me 29 was top money for an 88. Guessing that's redbook. I see a lot of 2.2 turbo cars priced at 40 and just not selling.  I know of two priced at 45 the seem very good cars,  pristine almost. one just fully rebuilt by Ferrari. I think both sellers would take 40. Neither are in my state though.

Shannon's will be happy to value your car at whatever you request. That said yours looks to be the very desirable late s4, I'm looking at  late 80s cars.

I've got $120k agreed value with Shannons on mine and they just increased the GT300 to $400k of their own accord.
