Shannon's will be happy to value your car at whatever you request.

I just found out that no they won't.

In fact, they weren't even reasonable, nor did they have much understanding of the type of car I have.

Shannon's are great, I change the agreed value all the time as I add additions to my bikes, carbon wheels, Ohlin's forks, CCM rotors and monoblock callipers add $30k to the replacement value and they cover it easy.

THey need the cars officially valued and justified.

You cant try and increase the value by saying it has an F40 windscreen Aircon.

For a smart four two? I would try SGIO. Unless it's running a kawasaki bike engine or something of the like.

Regarding my hunt for an affordable esprit, if i can't track down an honest car in my budget. Ill probably just wind end getting some kind of overloaded triumph, or a vette. I have seen a few nice Stingrays for around 30-35.

No :)
All the members descriptions are in jest. Most here own multiple supercars.

That wasn't an offer they made. I've since found a guy on fchat who just insured his glass 308GTB for $200k with shannons. go figure!

Still looking into it.

Bought the yellow v8 a couple of weeks ago.
Shannon's were great, simply asked how much I wanted to insure it for. I waiting 3 min while they checked with a manager and they came back with a "that's fine".

All the standard insurers either wouldn't insure it or would only insure for red book value.

Good luck with your search
