hi i am new to this forum, but i have been considering a lotus elise / exige for some time now. how difficult is it to do a regular service on an elise / exige ? and if it is more difficult than standard sports cars ... e.g. I have an s2000 at the moment, how much would it cost ?

10,000km on my Exige S2 was $700
Didn't need anything out of the ordinary - ie was fluids, filters etc

When I had my Elise Lotus wanted $540 for an oil change... I got the oil and filter and my local garage did it for $56.

As long as whoever does it knows about the "whoops the Elise fell off the hoist" problem you should be fine :D  Any decent workshop should be OK.

Lotus say your warranty is void if you don't get a print out from their computer at each service... Both times I took mine to Lotus the computer was broken.  :rolleyes:

A year or so back one fell off the hoist, cos the garage didn't know the engine was in the back.  Photos were specky.
