Hi all,
Did a search but did not find anything.
Can anyone recommend a insurance company to insure a v8 esprit?
Could you specify your age. Location, who you’re with and your premium if you can?

Going to call up Just Cars etc shortly and see if I can get a discount based on limited Kms etc.
Have only called GIO (who I have car and boat with currently) and they wanted $3500 with a $2500 excess.

Cheers
Ben

Indeed - a pre-requisite of going from gunna to owner is that you get to gloat about it in your own "my latest toy" thread!

This seems to come up every once in a while on forums - we should do a 'group negotiation' with Shannons to try and get a better deal. I've got 10 cars to put in the mix.
C'mon, do it!

Been with Torque for YEARS.

$120k agreed value on the S4s. 1% of agreed value excess. I'm a rating one with perfect history, Bayside in Melb, 34 - $1,200/year. My rate has been going up and down between $1,100 and $1,600 since I was your age. I can put you in touch with my broker if you wish.

So, are you pulling the trigger on the black one?
You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot.

Sorry  all, didn't mean to get your hopes up.  :p

My boat is still for sale and until it sells I cannot really purchase anything. Can borrow but do not really want to get into debt for a toy.

I have however spoken to the bank and I know that I can get the money in 24hrs if need be but just going to hold off. Waiting to hear about some more work next week so if that a goer..........

I think its my age more than my location. Although the location does not help.

Find it funny that Shannons does not offer the option of lowering premiums by increasing the excess..... GIO knocked 800 off from going to (i think) 1000 to a 2.5k excess.

And I will not divulge as to what colour it is.....................
If I do make the jump you will be the 2nd to know. After my missus (perhaps I should start another topic " are esprits comfortable to sleep in every night? are they more comfy than the dog house?" haha

And I totally agree with the group insurance thing. It could be a great little saver and not only that but give a bit more weight to anybody who makes a claim.

Cheers
