however once i sell my Porsche i'll either look at something in a G body, or if i go a Stevens body i'd probably look at an S4 or V8,

There was a 1997 yellow V8 in QLD for sale for over a year (had a very high price but look pristine) on carsales. Andecorp indicated that the car was not sold and was just taken off carsales. I got the impression Andecorp knew the owner. Not sure if that is also a lead for you for someone to talk to or get a test drive/ride in.

I am sure there is a few Espirt owners in the Qld Lotus Club that may also be able to help out.

Yep that was the one. It was only the fact if someone had a contact for a car to check out through a mutual friend.. to see if you actually want an Esprit.

Yeah the car market is pretty bad. People pushing to do a "swap" to get what they want as they can't get a sale. And buyers know this, so are giving low offers to sellers.  :(

Can someone post a timeline of Esprit evolution, and approximate current values...
Maybe add production numbers if possible...
Its very confusing......

thanks for that mate,

yeah the few enquiries i've had were from people thinking i'd sell it to them for less than my dealer is willing to give me for the car :-/

its the cheapest 996TT for sale right now so just a matter of time.

Actually, it was priced very well. One owner, Aust del, very low kms, immaculate with full history.

Import V8s are changing hands for $50k. Then they get $20k+ spent on them to make them road worthy and fix them up. So you will be spending $70k+ for a questionable import.

Some mistakes with the years. The correct years are in the other table that Mondi posted.

..
Numbers don't tell the whole story though.

8 of the Sport 350s were not real Sport 350s. They were standard cars with the Sport 350 decals made for the US market.

Most of the S4s' in 1995 were US spec cars - only 285bhp, skinny S4 wheels, no wheel arches. UK/EU/Aust/Japan spec S4s's are true S4s's. All up, less than 100 built over all the years.

All the cars made in 2004 were LHD for the US market. They were the same spec as the last 30 RHD cars made in 2003 - Final Edition cars - every option thrown at them plus more horsepower.
