andecorp, yep, finding a good Elan is like finding rocking horse poo. I did go to Melb to see the Blue one and it was sad and unloved.

If you like yours showroom keep in touch, mine may be up for grabs soon. It is as close to perfect you will ever see.

I went to Donnington a few years back and saw 150 Elans if you think the ones here are rough don't go to the UK!

I may be wrong but I think mine is probably one of the best all original Elans on the planet.

mhh, in there day they were miles ahead of everything else and they are still a great drive. if you get a chance to take one for a drive go for it!  :)

Definetely speak to me when you wish to sell it.
All my cars have been concourse cars - that's the only way I like them.
BTW, my S4s won the Lotus concourse 2 months ago :D

Will do! I want it to go to a good home if I part with it! Mine is a concourse winner, it just hasn't been to a concourse yet LOL

BTW do you know the silver S4s that came to brisbane from Perth about a year ago??

I know it very well. The car was given by Barbagallo's as payment to a tradesman for his services. By all acounts, the guy was a tosser. Nobody liked him.
He ran the S4s through a fance, wrecking the front end. My friend owns the repair shop that fixed it. Later on he bashed his girlfirend and he spent some time in jail for it. As revenge she wrote her name on the front bonnet of the Esprit, so it ended up at my friends repair shop again.

That's classic! My mate owns it now. I knew about the payment for services part but not the rest of it. I often wonder if my mate noticed the front end had been repainted a few times and now I know why!

My Fiat's odometer isn't indicative of the engine wear - a majority of the mileage is through pushing or towing :?
