Well - if he gets 800 entries that covers the sale value - interesting idea, will keep tabs to see how it works out... not to mention the legality... :scratchchin:

Should the item of value on offer not reach its minimum target of valid essay submissions, a FULL REFUND will be sent out via the PAYPAL (account and credit card) system to everyone who submitted a valid essay and payment.

I'm guessing he's aiming for $100k :)

Yes, I'm thinking it isn't legal.  I get no comfort from his suggestion that Govt agencies are telling him it is not illegal.  Can you imagine any of these agencies giving this advice?!

A) The Opportunity will stay open for 6 months, from April 9th 2008 until October 9th 2008 unless 2000 unique essays and payments are received beforehand. At that point the opportunity to send in your essay and payment will continue at the discretion of Christian Healey but it will still not exceed beyond October 9th 2008.

Interesting approach.  Wonder if its legal in all states (countries?).

Its like a lawyer had too much spare time on their hands or something...

Well, with 2,000 entries at up to 500 words each he would have up to 1 million words of inanity to read through...

Like Hamlet 3 times over, or every one of Pap's posts. :scared:

Well its a pretty tidy little scheme if it does avoid the game of change licensing by turning it into a game of skill instead.

But win or lose, I don't think I'd be happy at the end knowing that I'd contributed to him selling his Elise S for $170000.

I like the way he's wanting any dispute to be under Florida law - yeah, right!
