Hello everyone,
New to the forum today. I'm restoring a s2 commemorative  and on the hunt for a few bits and pieces. Recently ROW 002 was destroyed in a fire in Melbourne, it's wreck was sold at a Manheims auction in late June. I have been trying to locate the buyer with the hope of securing  some parts.
I would appreciate it if anyone here knows the new owner or where the car ended up, could you please let me know or perhaps pass my contact details on.
These cars are becoming quite rare now and parts are limited.
Looking forward to sharing in the forum as my restoration continues
Best regards, Allan

It burnt down? How? Arson or engine fire? That car spent a lot of time at my place.

Hello Andecorp,

I believe the car had an electrical fault which started the fire. Unfortunately the car was totally destroyed and to make matters worse the car was in his garage and caused serious damage to his house. He indicated they are getting back to some normality but the whole event was tragic.

I first saw this car a couple of years ago, it is such a shame to lose it this way.

I am ever hopeful of finding the wreck of this car before it is scrapped

This is very sad to hear. It was originally purchased by my father in law from new. I now and then pondered the thought of locating and offering to purchase in the future but alas....

Is that 002?
It has the original rims which 002 hadn't had for a long time due to an accident.

I'd contact vic based lotus wreckers. They'd be the only people who'd purchase a car in that condition.
