Please welcome yet another member to the Uber stable.

Helped Al pick it up this morning, but the weather was less than perfect!  At least it stopped raining for a few minutes so I could take a few pics to share here.

But sorry, crap weather = crap photos.  Promise I'll revisit properly later.

Oh, and the second most awesome thing behind it's looks is the fact that I can fit in this one!

Compared to the S4s, the seats are just that little bit lower.  Woohoo.

The bat cave is looking good, yes?

Thanks chaps, and thanks super-flamey.

The car is    a w e s o m e ,   the seller was a top guy, and we made it back through some torrential rain without mishap (regardless of some Maserati clown trying to sideswipe the 360).  Seller had really paid attention to detail, there's really nothing to do apart from re-attaching the front lippy thing.

Good stuff - brakes are brain-bending, cabin is comfy, handling is knife sharp, car is fast ... I'm going to get it out to EC next week as well, and I think it's going to be quick on the track  :)

Only downside is that it's too freakin quiet - Andecorp ... what do I do about that champ?

cheers
al
C'mon, do it!

A couple more things I just noticed. Ask the PO whenther he still has the original front indicators and the original steering wheel. This kind of car needs its original bits.

Lotus UK cars had to be SERIOUSLY muffled to pass legislations. Virtually everyone puts aftermarket exhausts on them. Suprised the PO hasn't done that. Not only they make the car sound like it shold, it GREATLY frees up its breathing.

Here:

BTW, the owner of that Esprit is on the Espritboard and his car is not modified at all apart from the exhaust and the blow off valve. The vid gives you an idea of what they're supposed to sound like and their performance v. other exotics.

Here's another clip where you can clearly hear the exhaust:

This one is a perfect comparison between the Esprit and the Gallardo sounds:

BTW, you do know that Lotus detuned the V8 engine for the road cars, don't you? You can easily free it up just by changing the chip and you'll get 550bhp.
You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot.

Super!  Best to assume I know nothing champion  :)

I've got the front indicators ... wheel gone however   :(

Any pointers to a snazzy muffler and the magical vendor of the new chips?
C'mon, do it!
