It appears to be just a normal Elise R with the 190bhp engine? :scratchchin:

I think the specs are the same as the Elise S we already get  :)

Nah.  The 'S' has 134bhp.  This car is an 'R' with 190bhp.  However, the pics show Elises with 'S' rims which I prefer.  Would love and 'R' with 'S' rims.

But the price reduction is quite significant. Somehow we dont get the savings here, even with the higher exchange rates. It should be priced ~ 60k .

The 2010MY Model looks good too. Hopefully that will be available next year.

I've been looking at the exige and elise. What is the main difference in appearance apart from the spoiler and hard top? Is the front and sides different? They look different but i just can't tell what  :?

The only parts that are the same are the doors. Front and rear clams are largely one piece on boths cars and are different.

Basically you have in terms of new cars from bottom to top:

Elise S 1.8 litre 5-speed 134 bhp
Elise R 1.8 litre 6-speed 190 bhp (doubt that they bring these in anymore)
Elise SC 1.8 litre 6-speed supercharged 220 bhp

Exige S 1.8 litre 6-speed supercharged 220 bhp
Exige S 1.8 litre 6-speed supercharged with performance pack 240 bhp
Exige Cup 260 1.8 litre 6-speed supercharged with 260 bhp

All have different wheels, suspension, tyres etc. depending on model and/or options chosen.
