Well, I finally had an issue with my Europa S
Recently I was driving and heard a loud bang, thought I had driven over something, except the clutch pedal seemed lighter.

Thought I had broken the clutch but car was still working fine, gears changing etc, no grinding.

Went home and spent some time with Google, I was excited as I found the Lotus Europa S owners group on facebook, something like 1/2 the worlds 200 owners are on it, a great resource for me.

To my relief, its just a spring on the pedal itself to give a bit more feel, and everyones has snapped (lotus quality!)

So I booked my car into Prestige to get this looked at, as well as a regular service, and I thought I might as well get my pads done because the brakes on the car are notoriously crap.

I ordered in what most people agree are by far the best pads, Carbone Lorraine RC5+ for front and rear, paid express shipping from the UK, I checked with Prestige, they said sourcing my own pads was fine.
About $350 for the full set delivered with express shipping.

Dropped my car off with the pads.

Despite getting 3 weeks notice about the clutch spring, they arent sure about what to do for a replacement (They still have a Europa S in the showroom they could have checked even if they dont have the parts book!)

They flat out refuse to fit my pads, and want me to buy the ones they have in stock, the rears need doing, they want $680 for the stock rear pads!

Everytime I go there, I swear its the last time.
I just thought that I should use the official dealer to get the clutch spring...

So annoyed.

Futurism, Id call Ital Service at Brompton and get them to do the brakes there... awesome people. They could probably source a spring for it from http://www.industrialsprings.com.au/ on Port Rd Hindmarsh and fit it or you could call Industrial Springs and fit it yourself.
