I wouldn't mind betting, some kind of "raid" gets done on inadequately complied cars.

I have seen very few that have been done to the law, fully.

Letters have already started to go out........

You can bet the test cars are 100% correct as they get a thorough inspection, that's why it takes so long!

Oh how much you have to learn!

And oh how they have you sucked in...

Test cars will be the first to get called, and if tyre date codes dont match, or aus spec catalytic convertors (360s) arent fitted... And many other aspects, like not having ESC if complied after jan 11, I predict impounding or worse!

Brand New Tyres, Brand New Cats, Brand New Brakes, Correct exhaust, lights passed, new filters, belts correct, speedo and every other Bull Shit item done!

ESC is something that is new to me and obviously a sticky point!

You're really just a victim though.

It's the compliance shops job to know the law. But the law keeps changing.

I saw this happening 5 years ago, and decided to stick to VASS abd PI.

Other than one guy in QLD I know of, all other compliance guys are either ignorant of the rules, or negligent.

Compliance is dirtier than real estate... Imagine dealing in both!

Compliancing of my car was $9.95 for the led strip.  There was no fee for compliancing as such.  Regency Park check which took all of 5 minutes.

So far, I have met a heap of dirt bags in this industry and yes they are all trying to circumvent the rules by playing shifty little games.

The guys I have been dealing with won't play these game as they know that their license is far more important than complying one vehicle.

Back to Estate Agents, I have met many professional Agents and a heap of Dirt Bags Too.

What about mechanics?? They all have awesome names!! Just good old fashioned hard workers, trying to earn an honest living...... :waah: :waah:
