The sound system in the 4200 is not too hot, the CD's jump all the time and the sound itself is very ordinary, does anyone know where you'd go in Melbourne for a solution, are there any specialists for this ?

Turn your hearing aid up......that might help the sound a bit  :D
Not sure about the jumping part though.....any reputable car audio place will be able to help out

I guess so it's been a long time since I've need to go to a car stereo place, as long as they know what they're doing.

This is apparently a good product for the Masa -

Oh how awesome. It's like an iPod, just bigger, harder to install, non-portable and 15 times as expensive. Where do i sign up?

With Loudlink it is possible to fit premium brand audio system into your vehicle without losing the comfort of your original head unit, steering wheel remote control, integrated display, etc.

A bit of a difference to having the dicky little IPod sitting on the passengers seat.

The advantage of either is I wouldnt have to worry about CD's which jump every time I change gear.

Search for a control unit for iPod for your existing setup, same deal as the UK box you're looking at, but far more flexible longer term.
