I'm looking at buying a 2004/05/06 Maserati QP and was wondering what to look out for.

I hear the clutch wears on them every 20-30,000km and electrical gremlins can be a concern (one example I saw had a petrol lid that wouldn't open). Anything else?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also I think there is an updated gearbox around 2006 onwards and I believe it is a much improved one.

Great Cars much more robust than the 80 &90's models. The ZF transmission came in about 07  and probably is the one to go for unless you want to manually change Ferrari fixed up all the maseati faults when they took them under their wing and they have never looked back.  Fiat did split them up again but they have maintained the ferrari relationship where needed.
