great looking car, just make sure a specialist looks after the car

I have the 2003 Spyder in the same colour , history is everything, just had 50k major service and no major problems, so enjoy  :D :D

Thanks, I appreciate the offer but it had it's major service at the end of Sept according to Zagames so all should be ok .

Sigh... Dude, you went head into the sale without researching it first, so realistically, you did get burnt on price. Don't be silly and get burnt on the condition of it too. Listen to what we are telling you.

BTW, every Maser tech I spoke to, told me that once they hit 60km, things start to fall apart on them and need constant replacing. 3200GTs with 70k, all services fully up to date, 'nothing to spend', wholesale for $40k. I was looking at one for ED use (I LOVE the boomerang lights), but I decided the headaches are not worth it.

Thanks for the advice but I'm still within the 3 day cooloing off period, I've spoken to Maserati car club members in NSW and the service manager at Zagame at length, where they sold the car new and have serviced it ever since.
I've checked out an 03' car but it's not as good as this.
I don't think I got a bargain but don't believe I was ripped off either otherwise I wouldn't proceed.

I've just had another look there's nothing like it on the market at present, there's a few 03' models but we know the gearbox software upgrade isn't in those.
There's a few others but private sales and I like the colour combination of mine best.
The only downside is 74,000k but I only do 10,000k a year so it's not so bad.

Al the others are of comparable price considering their age.
This is only $86k after all.
All that combined with the thumbs up from Zagame means I go ahead.

It's strange I miss my old car already, a Merc E500, brilliant machine but there are just so many on the road at present they are common.

It's only done 39,000k and I only got $53k for it, I know it's probably worth $55k as a trade so close enough but still hurts a little to see it go.

Do you think Zagame would say anything OTHER than "thumbs up" on a car they've serviced from new?

There's a good chance the car is completely fine, but likewise, it may not be. A few hundred bucks spent on an independant inspection will settle your nerves.

Tell ya what, I'm actually going to Zags this week, I'll pass an eye over it for free if I can while I'm there!
