if you owned one of those tow trucks you could steal any car you want, even if they have the tilt alarm thing, people watching would just assume it was being towed for a legitimate reason

I thought about it, perhaps it needs to be rear wheel drive so the handbrake doesnt cause issues

As far as I know, you have to be a licensed repo dude to be able to have one of these, there are checks and audits done all the time as Chop Shops are a massive problem over there now days.

I have a contact over in California who keeps an eye out for cars worth buying and importing, but his main source of income is as a spotter for these repo guys, and he makes a very good living out of it.

AWD is just as easy but takes just a little longer, they lift the front up using the arm and fit Dollies, then grab the back and off they go.

i watched a show on discovery channel called dangerous jobs, and car repo guy was one of them... was pretty interesting to watch how they do it and the conflicts they have.... oh and they have to carry weapons too

I took a trip to Atlanta a few years back & stepped in to my mates car from the airport.....opened the glovebox to put something in to it.....chrome 9mm staring me in the face.
Got to his house......went to put my bag under the bed......shot gun 
Mind you.....he told me I would of been the only white guy in the neighbourhood for 10 miles.....
