but surely a Maserati is SUPPOSED to be refined and comfy and smooth and quiet like a Merc...

If you want a sporty Maserati, buy a 612 or a 599 etc...

Yes but a CLS 350 is only a 6 cylinder 3.5 litre, 200kw 350nm not a 4.2 litre v8 with 300kw and 460nm.

Although the GT looks amazing in Black and crome, where as a merc is in comparrison a dime a dozen, but still a big V8 merc does sporty and refinement much better than the GT and it manages it with a fully automatic gearbox... and the sound of that 6.2 litre v8  :thumbsup:

u referring to the white one on the May 2011 Tassie trip - that is the GT 4.2 - sounded bloody brilliant!!! I had my windows down following him just to listen to that exhaust!!!  :worship:

Yeah that's the one.... When driving through Hobart it was echoeing off the buildings. Had the raspyness of an f430 but a deep burble too

it's one of the reasons I have been trawling the P-car forums for exhaust mods!!! That V8 burble is "Fully Sik man"!!!!!
