Prefer the stock SL65 to this bastardisation.

They actually used authentic AMG parts for the conversion.

I think it looks way better than a standard sl65.

I wouldn't call it a black series, if I were them, but I am a sucker for wide bodies... It's over the top, but still works... If that makes sense...
It will definately turn heads...

Looks great as an SL65 WIDE BODY but not so great as a wannabe SL65 Black.

What size rims/ tyres fill those guards?

Funny the amount of negatvity to this one.

i can understand people saying such things as turning  911 into a 959  replica or a MR2 into a 355 etc. but this is just a stock-ish cosmetic upgrade, so not really into true replica teritory IMO.

I love the look of the 65 Black, and think it is a fantastic car, but i for one dont get the black (the real one) as a car, as there are seemingly much better options for sports cars for the money (IMO of course) with actual manual transmissions etc.

so therefore to me the Black would be a kick ass cafe cruiser and around town car, but it has a fixed roof whcih therefore looses some of the appeal of an SL in my book, so for me i think this is an awesome conversion, the badass looks of a black, but with a convertible roof so it can be your cruiser.

then when you really want to drive hard, you hop in your Scuderia, LP670, GT3 RS etc for ultimate driving

all IMO of course
