Did my practise day out at Oran Park GP today.......wanna hear about it?
Got up early and it wasnt raining......WHAT????......back to workshop to fit R-Specs......jack wont fit under newly lowered car.....back to someone elses workshop with lower jack.....pick up lightweight 18 x 10 Simmons wheel c/w Dunlop R-spec and POP goes the vertibrae in lower back......lotsa pain and grimacing but soldier on anyway.....two hours in Syd traffic as some noddy went out of his/her way to crash near the airport and hold up all the traffice from the northside entry to the tunnel........arrive at track and get told that we have to leave early as some works being done to the track this afternoon..........fellow track guests are dude with Aussie race car and a bloke with a very newly minted MG midget track car.....looked good but maybe it's gunna be slow........MG doesnt turn a wheel....electric gremlins got it........Aussie racing car hits a Magpie coming onto the front straight and gets put on trailer and carted off......Magpie carcass laying in middle of track in second fastest corner......painkillers wear off, cant stand pain of right hand bends and go back to office ........yep, we're havin fun now!
