Only 6% of the land mass and therefore a tiny fraction of the cost to change over the infrastructure. My point exactly.

Actually i think density would cause more of a problem. Changing major intersections, traffic lights and lined marking would be far more challenging than the occasional sign and reflectors on a long desolate section of road.

But 1967 was a long time ago no doubt.
