What are the details of this "liner issue"???

Just asking in case this dude has no idea when I ask him about this car being done.

Hylomar (I think it was them) supplied Lotus with the wrong liner sealant for the V8's. The sealant was desintegrating and would let water in.
From mid 2000, the problem was rectified and the correct sealant was used when building the engines. All the V8's built before mid 2000 were re-called and had the problem fixed by the factory (supposed to anyway).
If he is the only owner of the car, surely he would know about the liner issue as he wouldn't have been stupid enough not to let Lotus fix it. It is a $20k-$30k job.
You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot.
