I think you might have hit the nail on the head with the mellowing bit....John's going from only owned, shall we say, soft Ferraris. This one is quite hard core, for a road car, and for him it's a huge and happy change, where for me it's probably a relief to have some peace and quiet lol!

Plus, I have no inclination to track a car again, so it was a bit wasted on me.
