I think I'm too fussy to train apprentices, whilst being a small business.

The efficiency needs to be higher, never mind the customers querying and begrudging "boys/rookies" working on their cars.

Large businesses can afford some slack periods/areas, so apprentices are better absorbed there.

Carl brings OCD to new levels even I can't achieve. Lining up screwdrivers, large to small, arranging parts in symmetrical patterns for photography.... Apprentices would struggle to be accepted!

No, I'll stick to using well established accomplished professionals as sub contractors, thanks all the same.
