As much as it's a great idea, I think it's doomed to failure because it will never get out of the UK TG shadow.  An imitation show would just be embarrassing to watch, so it would have to be not even trying to be similar.  Look at 5th Gear, that's a dam good show, but with Top Gear around it comes off as kinda dull.

I'm trying to think of Aussie teevee personalities with some car credibility... :scratchchin:

Eric Bana too.. if you could get him

and John Bowe.... now he's retired
