When are you releasing term and condition of the auctions, (deposits, buyer premiums etc?)

Dear Historic Plate enthusiast,

The Great Plate Auction 2011 now only a few days away and the response from enthusiasts and investors has been nothing short of staggering.

Please find attached the Catalogue for the auction, as a PDF just above our logo at the base of this page.

There has been an exciting build up to the event with The Advertiser running a story on the auction yesterday, should you have missed it you can see the article here:

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/chase-on-for-grandpas-plates/story-e6frea6u-1226003268071

Id like to take this opportunity to advise some housekeeping for the day.

We will have the doors open from 10.30am for attendee registration; it is a requirement for all attendees to register with ID whether they intend to bid or not prior to entry into the showroom.

There is ample parking in a lot on the left hand side of Claremont St, which runs north off Sir Donald Bradman Drive; look for the blue signs on the roadside. See the map on your invitation.

We strongly recommend you dont leave it too late to arrive and register prior to the commencement of the auction at 11.30 am. There will be a van with coffee and drinks available and we have secured some interesting and special modern and vintage vehicles to display the auction number plates, so there will be plenty to look at before we get underway.

I can be contacted on 0401 722 222 should you have any queries.

We wish you good luck with your bidding, and look forward to seeing you on the day.

Best regards

Merging all the 2011 great plate auction threads, much easier to keep track of rather than check half a dozen all talking about various aspects if the same thing. :boggled:

Basically you don't get much change out of $100k if you buy a 2 digit number.

Selling 64 & 65 together didn't bring the premium i think they were expecting

911 got passed it at around 50k

The GP 64 plate got around $18 from memory.

I'm sure Stuart will come along with a full write up soon.

Plate of the Day was 16 on a Holden in the car park.

I'm surprised that one didn't make more.

I'm also surprised more of the plate spotters here didn't go along.
