It just expired on Thursday - have re-enabled it for now and sent the poster an email asking if it's still valid.

What is current market value for 3 digit plate? I guess it depends on how low or rounded the number.

I've seen some results from the Shannons Auctions, 445 & 446 selling for around $16k back in March last year.

I also found the sale price for the SA numeric 52, it sold in late 2007 for $73,000!. No bad, given 53 sold for $1,200 in 1985. It really makes you wonder what "Civic 13" is worth?

Ashsimmonds, you mentioned on page 1 that 14 is asking $350k, is this realistic?

Given the intangibility of it all - values are only ever really valid for the moment someone decides they're willing to pay a certain amount for a given plate - so all we can do is extrapolate vague guesstimates really.

Last night we were discussing plate [ 71 ], we sort of agreed off the top of our head it would be worth ~$50k, it may well be worth $100k - but to who?

[ 13 ] is just such an uber-cool plate - were it mine I doubt I'd put a price on it.

$18k IMO seems overpriced for a 3-digit plate. I've seen them generally go between $11k and $16k.

As for the 2-digit, I saw 2 in the paper advertsied by the same person for $75k each a couple of months back.

Why do you like the number 13 Ash?? Isn't that generally regarded as the bad luck number??
