FWIW # 1 is unlikely to ever come onto the market, open or privately. He knocked back $2 million for it some time ago.

That's why I asked again :faint:

There is number # 1* available now for an ask of $500k as a comparison. Again, finding a buyer might be tough today.

I am not going to post the exact number, hence 1*    i.e the number is between 10 and 19.

Vic [ 18 ]?

Listed at $800k... $500k could be the cash price?

Nope, that one has been kicking around for years. No interest at that price pre GFC, don't see any chance these days.

Wonder what this is worth... and if there's a heritage plate with matching numbers sitting in their safe... and why it's on such an unremarkable old car?

It is funny when you see a plate that is worth 10-100 times the value of the car but alot of these people have had the plate in their family since it was 1st registered & it's just been passed down through the years.....I think it's great to see

+ infinity.  I always love seeing a heritage plate on a bomb, because you know that chances are that plate has been in the family for generations.

I was offered # 50 a couple of years ago i.e. Before the Financial World fell over. Price was a nutty $500k as I recall.

Real money today would be in the low $300k's if you could find a buyer.

woooo !  Yes, $500k was heady  :boggled:

He was dreaming big time. Have you got # 50 now or been offered it ?

Prices at Shannons auction last night were pretty soft; but none of the numbers were particularly special.
Top price was $100k for # 153
