There must have been something in the water at the Shannons auction last night because heritage plates were absolutely on fire with all but one plate exceeding the high estimates, some by enormous margins. Haven't seen this for years.

Yes, and I know at least one extremely wealthy Victorian owner of a 675LT who happens to be a heritage plate collector. All it would take is another and you get stupid prices like this.

Personally if I were interested in # 675 I would have stopped at about $55k.
