Hi all,

Just wondering if it is possible to get custom 6 digit plates that are not Heritage (above 285-000) made in vitreous enamel. I've seen plates like these on cars and I'm wondering the about the costs and legality of getting them done.

I'm in Victoria.

Can't be done legally.
Can be done illegally though and chances of finding a cop that knew enough to pick it are probably slim.

For the record though, as 360C said... ONLY plates issued through VICROADS are legal.

You cannot make up any plates or stickers yourself.

The best thing about the enamel ones is they actually exist legally. And, I bet even most plate enthusiasts wouldn't know if it was a reproduction or original.
