With preparations coming along nicely for the Great Plate Auction 2011 we are pleased to announce some interesting information we have recently uncovered- the discovery of the long forgotten "Leading Zero" historic plates. The site is always being updated, and we felt this was one of the more notable updates of late.

As the leading portal for information on SA numberplates part of our charter is to document and record the history of SA Historic Plates and we are pleased to announce this interesting and little known discovery.

We thought you’d like it.

SA was the only state to offer an Historic Plate with a leading zero in 1918, and these have all but disappeared from our roads today.

No one else has the old records, contacts and access to rare information that we have; indeed we are the leading source of information, expertise and knowledge on Historic Plates in SA.

We have had massive interest in our Great Plate Auction 2011 two digit plates, and are pleased to advise we will have some interesting new updates to come.
