Adelaide has the most odious serial killers, two really crap AFL teams and very ordinary tap water-better to stay where you are.
Besides-the more the merrier ain't necessarily so.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. dont let our serial killers hear you say that......

At least our AFL teams dont sponsor teenage girls to post gay photos of the players on the  internet.....

and our tap water helps build immunity to bacteria from a young age. Some states the tap water just gets you used to swallowing water at the local pool.

20 countries, Simon?  Sheesh - that's impressive.  I've never worked anywhere other than Adelaide

Obviously though Mark, I chose the wrong job   :tilt:

Here's a list of all the towns / countries that I remember working in.  None are as nice as Adelaide (in the long term).

Austria (Vienna)
Belgium (Brussels)
Croatia (Zagreb)
Cyprus (Larnaca)
Denmark (Copenhagen)
Egypt (Cairo)
Finland (Helsinki)
France (Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon)
Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt, Kiel, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Dussledorf)
Greece (Athens)
India (Mumbai)
Ireland (Shannon, Belfast)
Italy (Rome, Milan, Naples, Pisa, Venice, Turin)
Luxembourg (Luxembourg)
Malta (Luqa)
Netherlands (Amsterdam)
Qatar (Doha)
Spain (Seville, Madrid)
Sweden (Linkoping)
Switzerland (Geneva)
United Kingdom

Highlights:
Buying hot waffles in Brussels and getting back home in London and they're still warm.
Having morning meetings in Rome (just the best coffee) and then flying back in time for lunch
Eating out in Cairo

Lowlights:
Travelling every couple of weeks
Slums of India
30+ visits to Frankfurt - never made it to the city once   :?

I've been rich & I've been poor...

Rich is better

lol :D

I'd live there as my second choice, above any other place in Oz.....

But I'm staying put in Braeside and Mount Eliza for now, I can't think of a better way to do what I do, with both family and business.

Thanks for the thoughts though.....

A time may come....

edit... actually, I really haven't properly explored WA and perth in particular, I hear it's very nice and I know it's popular with us soap dodgers.  :tilt:

travel experience aint all it's cracked up to be....

I've filled several passports many times over with my travels, but mostly seen airport/hotel/racetrack/airport....

LIVING in a place is true travel experience, not just visiting it.

I have truly travelled with proper holidays as well as my fleeting race meet visits, but I've only lived in UK and here.

Speaking of Adelaide. I went their once in a 280 SE , 76 model I think, the road was so straight I ended up doing the magic 200 kph, I immediately backed off, when I got to Adelaide I found I didn't have reverse, I thought this will cost the earth but found a guy at a service station who fixed it in 2 minutes for stuff all cost.
Good memories except for the black water and the girl I was traveling with. :D

I have lived in Sydney, Brisvegas and Adelaide & Adelaide is by far the most liveable place to live. Sydney is sooo busy and expensive, Brissy is full of BOGANS. Adelaide is just so easy to live in although i really miss the SURF beaches & warm water up north. It ia such a pleasure to drive for 5 minutes instead of 1.5 hours to enjoy some nice roads ! Most importantly lets not forget we :D are all very privelidged to live in this great country.
