Thinking about City to Bay too - wondering if I can get fit "enough" to be able to complete it - I think it's less than 2 months away. :faint:

Holy crap - the City to Bay is only 13 days away

That's 12km - I have no chance of that at the moment...  Man - gunna have to up the training over the next couple weeks, still hovering around 93kg (way too much socialising/drinking lately) so gotta drop another 4 or 5kg to really be able to run decent.

Good luck ash. Getting motivated to train is the hardest part. Once you drag yourself outside, the rest will come naturally

I've got the Brighton beach dash on Oct 13. 8km or so all on sand  :faint:

Yeah - that's what I'm worried about once it's all over.  At the moment I'm really motivated to do all this for the sake of doing well in the Corp Cup and at least being capable of finishing City-Bay.  After that's all over come October I'll have to find another reason - I'd like to keep fit but I want a reason *other* than just being fit, and I don't have enough vanity to do it for the sake of looking hotter. :p

8km on sand... man that'd suck... :waah:

Unless theres something external like an event to work towards, you just have to rely on your own will power to do it. sucks if you're apathetic :)

Ah crap I'm screwed!! :(

I've been trying to think of a sport I'm interested in - squash is about the only thing that comes to mind as something I'd enjoy nowadays.  I like tennis and cricket - but I hate being out in the sun for more than half an hour - I burn like a red-headed stepchild and get headaches from too much bright light.

Sounds like a plan. Book a court and I'll dig out my squash bat.
