Yup the problems are dumb voters and zero accountability for politicians. It will continue to happen until the system  changes.

Possibly more poorly educated people in this country voting for Labor than well educated people voting Liberal!!?? :D

The problem is we have dumb and dumber running the country...

Theyre both as bad as each other. Neither party can manage money. The whole country turned on Rudd for wanting to tax the mining companies. FFS who is the richest woman in Australia, what is she doing and wanting to do? Bring in cheap labour from overseas rather than train Australians or pay proper wages and they give her hundreds of millions in tax concessions. As the guys in the car videos say.. Tax the Rich, especially if they are making so much money from the countries assets, not their own land.

Rudd was extremely stupid when he spoke about taxing mining. He should have made profit sharing contracts where the companies mined Australias land and the country profit shared with the mining company. Then there wouldnt have been an uproar and the government would have made more than it would have from a tax.

The wrong people run politics. Even Turnbull was a journalist and a lawyer. Journo's, lawyers and career politicians are the three groups running this country, the three groups you can trust less than a used car salesman.

The hole in the Federal budget sums it up, we spend 41 billion this more than what is raised with revenue, someone, somehow needs to plug the hole

Currently at 664 billion, thats over half a trillion dollars, we are not going to pay back that debt selling cane baskets or origami. The country needs more working people.
Meeting women on the Internet? Remember, the more similarities u “magically” have, & the more she agrees with u, the fucking crazier she is.

50% of the population get some sort of taxpayer funded handout. That's insane!
It's getting close to one taxpayer per welfare recipient.

Just watch the same things happen up here if Labor scrapes in.

Australian voters have memories like gold fish.
Look at SA, we've had Labor here for four terms (since 2002)... next election is in 2018.

They keep making blunder after blunder yet people still vote them back in... In the last 3 months these blunders include the Gillman land deal, cuts to the CFS, Emergency Services Levy, hospital closures when our hospitals are already beyond capacity, Repat War Veterans centre closing, etc.

And still they're the dominant party in SA.

The problem that Liberal have had in SA is that they havent found anyone that looks like decent leader in decades.

I find politics incredibly frustrating. There is no personal accountability for the Politicians actions which are often criminally negligent. The recent Vic elections saw labour elected with a policy of dumping the East West link toll road which is desperately needed. The average man in the street is dumber than a meat axe, believed that there would be no penalty from walking away from a legally binding contract and voted labour into power.
The DH labour leader Andrews says she'll be right mate, we will just offer them other contracts in place of the link. Hello DH, the link is a tunnelling project with specialist personal and their families relocated from OS to Melbourne ready to start. What tunnelling projects are you going to offer them you retard? Do you really think "There will be no penalties payable by the people of Melbourne" ?
Fast forward 6 months and the fuckwit hasn't been able to get a single law firm to agree that the contract is invalid and we will have to pay as much as $1 BILLION to NOT build a project that is desperately needed.

So what retribution does this retard suffer? Nothing, he will be rewarded with a high salary, super and lifetime perks  :boom: :boom:

If this was a publicly listed company there would be shareholder revolt and the prick would be lynched.
It gets even better, the grand idea of offering the builders other projects in place of the contract is in a hole (pun intended). Its been pointed out to them by the corruption watchdog, that any work the government offers in lue, has to go to public tender or it will be subject to a corruption investigation. (Cant find the link, but Ill update this if I can)
