so basically, the microphone is shock mounted by rubber bands suspended in the centre. around that is a foam windscreen, surrounding that is about 2cm of air, and then the frame, 100mm pvc pipe, drilled with about 500 holes for audio transparency.
surrounding all that is 1" of audio transparent foam. finally surrounded by the fake fur...

so it muffles out the air, but does it affect (exhaust?) noise to any great degree?

what's it's size and how do you intend to mount it?

thats the idea... i have tested it briefly and its quite effective.

this is how its mounted.

I was picturing a single suction mount and at 100km/hr a simple go-pro type mount would probably have a hard time holding a microphone that has a near wind sock attached to it.  The picture makes sense.

all the mounts i use are of the highest standards. I don't skimp on them at all, they will support 20kg each. go pro suction cups aren't even rated to 1kg

I have no idea where that is... But I got it from spotlight. It's cotton backed.
