As to the topic - yeah, all the cars I've driven, the owner has asked me to.

I actually think the joy my mates get out of driving my car (even if some of theirs are quicker and newer) is part of the joy of owning these type of cars. It adds to the banter at the end of the day over a beer.

I am fine with people asking me, when on a drive together.

the "when driving together"  part is the key to me I just worked out.........

There's a big difference between driving a friends car and thrashing a friends car, the latter is not on.

I've never asked to drive someone elses car - if its offered and in the right circumstances I'll gladly accept, if not so be it.

Back when I had the Evo (semi expensive and quick) I didn't have a problem with friends driving it, obviously its only offered to the mature ones who I know will respect the situation. The bike....well, luckily I don't have too many friends who can ride!  :p

Waz drove my SE on a Sunday run (the Blanchtown run?) and quickly discovered just how fast a Lambo is - it would be great to find the vid of that.  He also drove the Murci soon after I got it.

I loved the SE but found the Murci very intimidating. That car scared the **** out of me. I also drove your 911 with less than 300km on the clock and your mother in laws GTI. Thanks again Mark.
