Looks like he got the idea while sitting at the kitchen table playing with a knife and fork. 

Effective but not exactly elegant - or maybe it is?  Any engineers care to comment?

Technically, is that a cantilever?  Looks like the extension is fully supported when its down as a roadway, so its really just a lever with a pivot.




So, how did I do as a pretend engineer?  :D
