Just received news that a guy I know, business associate of another person I know well died last night.

Heart attack in his sleep never woke up, 3 young children, 49 years old.

We had a number of meetings last over the past 12 months but never took anything forward, nice guy, I'm just shocked.

So as the title says , "be grateful for every day"

His father was the priest at our church. He conducted a teary service.

I'm not sure if one can learn anything from these events except it does reinforce awareness of your own mortality.

Would you believe this is the third Almost identical story ive heard today.

44 year old guy died yesterday with some strain of influenza that stopped his heart last night, had 4 kids
40 year old woman had meningococcal and died yesterday had 3 kids,

And now this.  My condolences go out to all of these peoples families talk about terrible outcomes.

One learns little from these events. You look at yourself and say you'll do more to enjoy the days - and then routine sets back in.

Yes very true but momentarily you're stopped in your tracks.

Not always.

I made a life decision when a friend of mine died from cancer when she was mid 20s. I was early 30s. I've stuck with that decision ever since and never went back to the previous routine.

I love my car. Buy your own

If you're in a position to do so you are fortunate

Some aren't.
