Funny, this was discussed in a workshop with a client last week who are explaining to their highly paid graduate recruits that stress is inevitable and part of the business - and coping with it sensibly is part of being successful.

Part of the problem with this discussion though is the generalisation of the term 'stress' when if we hardened up a little we'd probably better call it 'challenging stimulus'
