But when the merchant wants a funds transfer in GBP, not a credit card?

Hi Mark,

I've used this service a few times with good results. Have sent AUD > GBP and AUD > INR. The transfers happen within the 3 days like they say they should. They take a small %'ge extra to cover any swings in the rate between your transfer and their filling the order but I always get that amount refunded.

Better rate, cheaper than banks, easier than any other platform I've used to date.

https://transferwise.com < this is the site proper

https://transferwise.com/u/c68238 < this is an invite link, the first 500GBP is free for you and I get 50GBP if you use it to sign up

Good luck!
Paul

I'm using American Express FX, and the rates are pretty good - but then ozforex and afex are pretty good also.

Out of interest, what was the difference in rate on initial enquiry?
