Read Steve Berry's 'The Templar Legacy' which finishes with the promise it promotes throughout the book and you are not left feeling left short changed. I love Dan Brown, especially The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons but they can be criticised for sitting on the fence religiously.

I'm reading the Stieg Larsson trilogy at the moment, not Bourne good, but pretty good.

You are missing out on one of life's great pleasures.  As Ruth Rendell said, "Some say life is the thing, but I prefer reading".

I miss reading, well no, I spend 12+ hours a day "reading", I miss books and stories - most of all, being focussed and engrossed in something for more than 3 minutes.

You'd struggle to find someone who was more read than me up till I was 20 (I remember finishing Kane & Abel in 2 days when I was 13) - but I've barely touched a book since my mid-20's.

Last book I actually remember reading and being engrossed was Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, in 2004.

Words previously written aren't getting any worse, just today I was revisiting some essays (called blogs nowadays) by Michel de Montaigne from the 1500's, and this guy's words are relevant and enlightening right now, 500 years later.  Hell, just reading a list of his best quotes will make you more intelligent and pragmatic.

So - how does everyone else "make time" for books?

I read 80-100 books a year generally still... but they are business books (biographies of people or companies) which means you can speed read them and just get the main points and all. I read may be 3 novels a year usually on long flights (ie to Europe) or xmas break time when I become a vegetable by the beach

Go to bed half an hour earlier than you think you wanted to...

Currently reading Sir Stirling Moss' "All my races"

superb journal style account of his work. he kept many records making this book possible. Some lovely pics too.
